At the time Martin Scorsese’s got involved with After Hours, Scorsese had
seen another project fall through and he was anxious to get started on
something else. But when Joseph
Minion given the script and it impressed him. He may have recognized something
of himself in Minion’s work. The story has elements that are familiar from the
director’s other films. Minion’s script meshes beautifully with director vision.
